大家都知道“面”在英语中是“noodle”，但在生活中却几乎没有人会这样说。Noodle是单数形式指“一根面”，在真实情景下使用这个词时，通常都用复数noodles。

中国外文局日前发布了《中国话语海外认知度调研报告》，报告提到汉语拼音实施60多年来，以此为载体进入英语话语体系的中文词汇不断增加，甚至已经成为其不可或缺的组成部分。
过去被翻译成英文的中国词现在被汉语拼音替代。比如饺子，还记得小时候英语老师教这个词必须说成“dumpling”，现在直接说“Jiaozi”就行！
中国经济、科技发展带动世界话语创新
此次调研发现的另一特点是，中国经济、科技发展带动了世界经济与科技话语的创新。
报告列举了海外认知度更高的100个中国词汇。榜单中，共有15个经济科技类词汇入选。
其中，“元”“人民币”跻身榜单前十位，且已被收录进《牛津英语词典》。
“红包”“支付宝”“ *** ”等因移动支付技术发展而产生的新兴词汇在年轻群体中有较高的认知度。
拼音直接外译 颇为抢眼
报告说，以汉语拼音形式直接外译的文化词汇在榜单上表现颇为抢眼。
有意思的是，尽管“春节”“功夫”“胡同”等文化词汇早已有较为固定的英文译法，但其拼音形式的直接外译，在使用频率和受认可度方面正逐渐与英译形成竞争关系。
专家分析认为，随着中国的节日民俗、先贤思想、传统美食等越来越深刻地影响世界，中国人的生活方式、思考方式和话语方式也正在悄然影响着世界。
《语言帝国：世界语言史》作者尼古拉斯·奥斯特勒2月27日在英国《卫报》发表署名文章认为，虽然当今世界1/4人口在使用英语，但随着中国在国际舞台上影响力不断增强，汉语在全世界的普及度也越来越高。
同时，强大的日常生活文化也在外国人中流传。例如，将各地连接在一起的面条。散发着醉人香味的中国佳肴也走入寻常百姓家。
